We require a common file format for evaluation of tractography results. Thus, due to the diversity of tools and fiber file formats available in the community, it was not reasonable to choose a particular existing format. We decided to ask for a simple text file, one per fiber, listing the x, y, z coordinates of each point of the fiber one line after another. Here is a short example:
The number of lines must be equal to the number of fiber points. No letter, extra spaces or special character is authorized, only numbers.
The way the fiber is written (e.g., from left to right or right to left) will have no influence on the result as fibers will be reoriented to match the ground truth orientation.
Remember that a single file per fiber is expected! Finally, the file name must follow this convention:
- seed #1 -> Fiber1.txt
- seed #2 -> Fiber2.txt
- seed "16 -> Fiber16.txt
Consequently, each participant should return a set of 16 files named Fiber1.txt to Fiber16.txt. Zipped, rar’ed or tarballed files are welcome.
